Delete Your Account or Your Data
You can permanently delete your Peek 2.1™ account and all associated data directly from within the app at any time — this does not require contacting support. You can also delete specific pieces of data (like a photo or a profile field) without deleting your account at all; see below.
How to delete your account
- Open the Peek 2.1™ app and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Enter your account password to confirm.
- Tap Delete. Your account is deleted immediately — there is no waiting period.
Deleting some of your data without deleting your account
You don't have to delete your whole account to remove specific things:
- Photos — open a photo on your profile and delete it directly. It's removed immediately.
- Bio, tags, and other profile details — edit your profile at any time and clear any field (about me, interests, preferences, etc.). Cleared fields are deleted, not just hidden.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following is permanently removed:
- Your profile, including photos, bio, and preferences
- Your location history
- Your blocked users list, favorites, and view/tap history
- Push notification tokens tied to your device
- Your login credentials — you will not be able to sign back into this account
What is retained, and why
A small amount of information is retained after deletion, as is standard practice and, in some cases, legally required:
- Subscription and payment records are kept for accounting and tax purposes, but are unlinked from your personal account — they can no longer be associated with you.
- Messages you sent to other users remain visible in the other person's conversation history, the same way deleting your account on most messaging platforms doesn't erase the other party's copy of the conversation.
- Reports or moderation records involving your account may be retained for safety and platform-integrity purposes.
- ID verification data (name, date of birth, license number, and similar details from a verified government ID — never the photos themselves, which are discarded immediately after verification) is retained for up to 2 years after account deletion, in case it is needed to respond to a lawful law-enforcement request. It is permanently erased once that period ends.
For more detail on how we handle data generally, see our Privacy Policy.
